COMPOUNDING
BROAD RANGE OF SOLUTIONS TO INCORPORATE COLOUR IN PVC COMPOUNDS

Delta Tecnic, with over 30 years of experience in colouring PVC, has a wide range of solutions to help incorporate colour in PVC compounds.

The use of pigments to resolve a colour in PVC compounds involves a series of problems that the use of Masterbatches helps to avoid.

Dirt in the facilities, difficulty in colour matching from batch to batch, poor pigment dispersion, cleaning times and colour homogenisation are common problems when using pigments. Use of our Masterbatches eliminates these problems, boosting the productivity and efficiency of manufacturing plants for PVC compounds.

For the PVC compounder industry, Delta Tecnic develops Masterbatches or colour pre-dispersals with the pigment formula to achieve the end colour required by the customer.

Thanks to our extensive experience and knowledge of a large number of pigments, we develop the most suitable formulation to meet the requested technical requirements.

PELLETS/MICROPELLETS
For the PVC compounder industry, Delta Tecnic develops Masterbatches or colour pre-dispersals with the definitive pigment formula to achieve the end colour required by the customer.

These Masterbatches are available in two granule sizes, including our normal grain size with an average diameter of 3 mm and length of 3.5 mm.

We also have a smaller granule available with a diameter of 1 mm and length of 2.5 mm. This smaller granule size aids masterbatch dilution when used in the turbomixer or chiller, as its size is more similar to the powdered PVC compound used by compounders.

BLACK MASTERBATCHES
Delta Tecnic has developed a range of PVC-based black Masterbatches, specially designed for this industry. All our Masterbatches are manufactured with PVC base resin and we usually use DOTP or ESBO (especially for rigid compounds) as plasticisers.

Carbon black pigment is a very difficult raw material to handle due to its high volatility and its ability to stain. This is why replacing it with a Masterbatch in which the carbon black pigment is fully encapsulated is of great assistance not only in keeping our customers’ facilities clean, but also in aiding their workers’ health by preventing dusty atmospheres.

Our PVC black Masterbatches are available in different granule sizes, such as normal grain, micropellet or cryopellet, depending on our customers’ needs and the use they wish to make of them.

EFFECTS PIGMENTS
Thanks to our experience of over 30 years in the manufacture of Masterbatches with aluminium, gold and pearly pigments, Delta Tecnic has developed special extrusion technology enabling our Masterbatches of normal granule size to provide a highly marked metallic effect that is not significantly affected by passage through the extruder.

Aluminium, gold, pearly or interference effects are our speciality and we offer them on the market both as Masterbatches and powdered pre-dispersals with the end colour desired by our customers.

Thanks to the pre-dispersion carried out in our facilities, we eliminate problems of clumping and surface defects in the end product.

“S” PIGMENT DISPERSIONS
Delta Tecnic has a range of powdered colour concentrates that have not passed through an extruder, with the end colour required by our customer.

This pre-dispersed product range can incorporate the following as a vehicle: Dry-blend, PVC resin or Calcium Carbonate, according to our customers’ needs.

Where facility cleanliness and dispersion are not important added values for our customers, this solution is the most suitable.
