Masterbatches and Additives Properties

It is very complicated to imagine a world without color, and that´s why science bring the world plastic materials which have helped in many good ways to preserve natural elements which could have disappeared without polymer science.

In the developing of Masterbatch color, plastic contains little pieces of other materials, like catalyzers and emulsifiers, in order to turn them into granulated masses and clay.

Also, they use to receive some little amounts of additives, which help the transformation and properties modifications.

Propiedades de los aditivos y Masterbatches

Main Features:

  1. Conductive additives

In order to turn a Surface into a conduction material you could metalize it through Deep vaping, with low fusion metal or galvanic covering.

  1. Fireproofing

It is important to know the behavior of plastics from their previous phase to the flame appearing. That´s why this natural behavior could focus in many ways with help of fireproofing materials.

  1. Color and pigments

Plastic properties could be altered by adding colors, but if pigments are added in low quantities, generally properties would not be altered at all. Organic and Artificial pigments could not solve in plastics, and give them some sort of opacity.

  1. Plasticizers

These are low molecular weight products, very slimmy, which are placed inside polymer particles, producing an increase of flexibility and better impact resistance. In polymer, water molecular substraction produces an effect similar to plasticizing, depending on water molecular amount.

  1. Bloaters

You should add solid bloaters in order to foam plastic, which will turn into vapor because of the heat. Foams are those materials which have cells on their mass and show a smaller body than the structural substance.

In Delta Tecnic we know perfectly every additive properties and Masterbatches, in order to develop high quality materials on cable and plastic area.
